There are two ways to look at the brand new Fiber Box Plus. On the one hand, it is an extensive upgrade of our previous FiberBox devices. This version is equipped with a modern ARM processor, more RAM and four 10Gigabit SFP+ ports. Fast and reliable connection on a budget. Without the distance limitation that Ethernet has. There is also a gigabit Ethernet port for management purposes or PoE-in power. There is also a 2-pin terminal block and a standard DC connector, so you have a choice of 3 different power options. FiberBox Plus supports a wide voltage input in the range of 24-57 V. And it is remarkably efficient: the maximum power consumption (without additional devices) is only 7 W!
You can also look at the new FiberBox Plus from another point of view – it is a cheap version of the amazing netFiber 9 device. If you don’t need additional gigabit SFP ports, you can save a lot of money. It even features the same impressive Marvell 98DX226S switching chip, so there definitely no shortage of power!
