MIKROTIK RB5009UG + S + IN, HOME “HEAVY-DUTY HOME LAB” ROUTER

The new model RB5009UG + S + IN is declared by the manufacturer as feedback on user requests from Mikrotik User Meetings for a powerful and robust home router.

The active element has nine metallic ports and a USB 3.0 port.
Seven ports are gigabit ethernet, one is 2.5 gigabit ethernet and the last is a 10G SFP + bay.

All ports are connected to a powerful switch-chip from the Marvell Amethyst family and a 10Gbps full-duplex line to the Marvell Armada Quad-core ARMv8 1.4 GHz processor.

The CPU and switch-chip are located at the bottom of the board, so the entire robust metal casefunctions as a massive passive heatsink.

In addition to powering via an adapter or terminal block, the RouterBoard also supports active PoE + power supply according to the 802.3af/at standard.

Using the K-79 Rackmount Kit, you can easily create a 1U set of four rack-mount routers.
